SCOPE OF THE BUSINESS :
The retail side of our business, Southern Wholesale Jewelers Retail Store sells a full line of high quality jewelry. All work, either design or repair is done on the premises. Our specialty is the diamond engagement rings and solitaire remounts. We carry a large inventory of engagement rings and often design and have manufactured the ring of a girl's dreams. (1) Diamonds (loose & mounted), from small replacement .01 ct. to large loose 3.00 ct. solitaires. We have diamonds of all qualities to meet any customer's price range. We offer certified diamonds that are either graded & certified by Geological Institute of America or European Grading Labs. (2) Diamond stud earrings are some of our best sellers, as well as diamond hoops style earrings in all carat weights. (3) Semi-mount diamond rings in 10k/14k/18k & platinum in top quality. (4) Rings of the following type: Anniversary, cocktail, princess, colored stone, wedding bands (diamond, designer & plain), pearl, coin, gent's, ladies diamond cluster, mother's and others. (5) Gold: 10k, 14k and 18k gold necklaces, earring, bracelets, pendants, charms, anklets, chains and much more. (6) Watches: We carry a complete line of Citizen watches at wholesale prices, 10K and 14k gold watches, gold watches with diamonds. (7) Diamond and colored stone tennis bracelets and necklaces. (8) Much, much more.

We are a home owned business, started here in Jasper and not a chain store with owners from who knows where. Our customers are of primary importance to all of us. Customers are the boss at our company. Our job here at Southern Wholesale is satisfying the customer and making them happy with the jewelry we sell and the work we do. We are part of the community and are involved in supporting many civic organizations. When you trade with our company you are dealing with the owners of the company. The differences in dealing with the owners rather than a chain operation is, we rely on your business for the success of our company. We will go the extra mile to do whatever it takes to get and keep your business. Being nice and courteous to customers is rare today at some businesses, but treating people right is what makes work fun at Southern Wholesale, it's like meeting old friends every day. Another factor that makes our company different: We have a wholesale division that sells in 3 states. By selling high volume and buying in large quantities with quick payment, we are able to buy our diamonds and gold at unbelievably low prices. We can pass this savings along to our customer by selling quality jewelry at wholesale prices to the public. We have a low overhead or operating cost compared to other (chain type) jewelry operations. We don't have to pay an administrative office and all the other costs associated with multiple operations. We run our operation as lean as possible so we can keep our sales prices down. We will personally source out particular pieces of jewelry that are hard to find. Another positive factor is the wild and crazy folks that work here, especially Johnny “Wild Man” Renacker (Jewelry designer/repair). Johnny has 22 years experience repairing jewelry and does great work.

COMPANY HISTORY:
Our company was established in 1988 in the same location we are in today. We have continually grown year by year in company size, sales, staff and inventory over the past 14 years. We have managed to keep operating cost down by working more hours and expanding responsibilities to all employees. Our goal is to be the largest and best jewelry store in Jasper & Walker County area. Down the road we would like to expand our operation to include other areas of North Alabama on a retail basis.

CHANGES IN THE PAST TWO YEARS :
During the past 2 years we have seen large increases in our wholesale catalog division sales and retail sales, as well as, the addition of a completely new internet sales sites for our company. NEW AND UNIQUE JEWELRY:
We are continually searching out unique and special unusual pieces of jewelry that will be one of a kind for you. In the past two years we have made special buying trips to seven of the largest industry jewelry shows all over the US. One special trip to New York, one to Los Angeles and three other trips to various cities to meet major diamond suppliers. We travel the entire country to get the best quality at the best price. We are directly importing much of our gold jewelry now from two different countries, so you cut out any middlemen. The gold were are directly importing is all made to our specifications and has our trademark. We are buying most of our diamonds at this time directly from site holders (Companies that get diamonds directly from DeBeers) and cutters thus cutting out brokers and middlemen. All of our gold is weighed in front of you on our gram scales.
